About Glyph. Magazine.

GLYPH. is an independent online literary magazine and writer’s hub for the casual writer. The inaugural issue of our lit mag, Glyph. Magazine, was published on 02.02.24.

Our team met whilst studying master’s degrees in Creative Writing at the University of Strathclyde and have stayed pals ever since. Even though we’re all based in Glasgow, we aim to encourage writers from all backgrounds to create the work that brings them joy – be it Fantasy, Literary Fiction, Crime or Science Fiction – and offer them the chance to receive feedback, and be published alongside their peers. Since completing our master’s degrees, we’ve realised that writing doesn’t need to be a solitary task, and actually, it’s so much more enjoyable when you’re part of a writing community. We’d like to extend our little writing group to others who want to be part of that too.

A glyph is any kind of purposeful mark, and we think writers from all disciplines can make their mark in the literary world with whatever they’re truly passionate about writing, however frequently or infrequently they choose to write.

GLYPH. also offers the chance to meet with and discuss your work with other writers, from online catch-ups to in-person writing sessions.
